The World’s Shortest Guide To Meditation

  1. Focus on the breath
  2. When the mind wanders (and it will), gently return your attention to the breath.
  3. Repeat step 2 seven billion times, without getting frustrated.

  1. Great guide! I will say this, though – it’s ok to get frustrated.

Frustration is just like any other thought or emotion: temporary. Note it and let it pass, and return to the breath.

  2. I was about to make the same comment! “Great minds think alike”, or should I say “Great Mind”?

  3. Frustration is attachment. With attachment enlightenment is blocked. The ultimate goal of meditation is enlightenment. You can’t get there if you want (attachment) to get there. Great faith and great trust and no frustration is the path. In my humble opinion.
