3 Must-see TED Talks

If you ever need a daily dose of awe or inspiration for anything, TED is the place to look.  TED stands for Technology, Education, Design.  The big TED conference (where many of the presentations and speeches are recorded) has been going on annually since 1990.  The motto, "Ideas Worth Spreading" couldn't be more accurate.  If TED was a person, he'd be the coolest, most intelligent person alive.  TED talks cover every subject, and can be useful for people in any situation or career path.  Many are quite broad and discuss life in general, specifically the concept of happiness, and what I've included here are a few of those types of presentations.  These three TED talks (one from a self-help guru, one from a Buddhist scholar and one from a biochemist-turned-monk) address the ideas of motivation and happiness on a broad scale, but with specific research and examples.  I can guarantee, if you spend even 20 minutes and watch just one of them, you'll come away a better person.  There's something about a well-done TED talk that reaches your mind at its core; there are talks I watched 5 years ago that I still think about regularly.  Sometimes a simple idea from a speech can have a profound effect on the way you live and think on a daily basis.  Enjoy these, and-- if you feel so inclined-- check out some others on the site.
